Why don’t they just move F1 weekend?

This is the view this morning, just 15 miles or so from COTA. Hasn’t it rained every year since they opened?

Kinja'd!!!

Current radar shows it moving away. That storm path goes all the way up here to STL.

Last few years of the NASCAR truck race it rained, race was delayed and pushed later, this year it didn’t and was a clean race no more than 1-2 wrecks.

When it first came in wasn’t it in November?

It was just a front passing through. It is gone now.

I don’t recall it ever actually raining during the race.

there wasn’t any rain in 2013, but FP1 was delayed due to fog and the medivac helo couldn’t fly. it was also in mid november that year.

Rain would make for a more entertaining race!

I think the cars are designed to race in wet or dry conditions.

Well it washed the rubber away, but cleared up, didn’t save the Renault engines! In the wet Max might have won it.
